Today in Canada’s Political History: PM Pearson and President Johnson Sign the Auto Pact

As Canadians work to come to terms with the dangers of the protectionism evidenced by the administration of Joe Biden, it seems a good time to recall better days in the relations between Canada and the United States.On this date in 1965 Prime Minister Pearson and President Johnson inked the Auto Pact at the storied LBJ ranch in Texas.
