Today in Canada's Political History: April 1, 1999, Happy 25th anniversary Nunavut!

I know all readers of Art’s History will join with me today in sending out anniversary best wishes to the people of Nunavut, Canada’s newest territory. It came into being, with the Canadian map re-drawn forever, on this date in 1999. Today, a quarter-century later, it remains a land of hope and promise for the Inuit and all Canadians. Happy anniversary Nunavut!
