As always, “Art's History” takes time out to celebrate the first addresses of our future Prime Ministers in Parliament. And today we feature the Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell, who served as Canada's 19th Prime Minister. Recently elected in 1988's free trade election, it was on this date in 1989 that Ms. Campbell delivered her first-ever remarks in the House of Commons. Four years later this rookie MP would make history, becoming Canada's first-ever female Prime Minister.
