Today in Canada’s Political History: Birthday of the Honourable Catherine McKenna

I know readers of all party views will join me today in sending out birthday greetings to Catherine McKenna, a pillar of the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's cabinets since 2015. Her recent announcement that she would not be running again in the upcoming campaign represents a true loss for our political system. In particular, Ms. McKenna was a tireless advocate for advancing and encouraging young women to follow her example and consider public service as a career.  She will be missed by all those who care about decency and value respect between MPs and Senators of all parties.Birthday alert: Also sending out birthday greetings today to Senator Gwen Boniface.caption id="attachment_576496" align="alignleft" width="543" Catherine McKenna (c)/captionArthur Milnes is an accomplished public historian and award-winning journalist.  He was research assistant on The Rt.
