Today in Canada’s Political History: Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird Assures the House that Canada Would be Safe in Event of a Zombie Invasion

Canadians were able to go to bed feeling much safer and secure on this night in 2013 thanks to assurances they received from Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird. During Question Period, while under questioning from NDP MP Pat Martin, Baird pledged that Canada would never become a safe haven for the creatures should there ever be a zombie apocalypse. In fact, Baird even went a step further, announcing that he and the Harper government were “dead-icated” to protecting Canadians should the zombies ever arrive.  It is worth noting that there has been no similar pledge made to Canadians by the Trudeau government.
