Today in Canada's Political History - March 31, 1949: Happy 75th anniversary Newfoundland!

It is a very big day in the history of the province that has brought Canada some of its greatest and most colourful politicians. Joey Smallwood, John Crosbie, Brian Tobin and George Baker all came from Newfoundland and were legends during their eras. It is, of course, the 75th anniversary of Newfoundland’s entering Confederation and I know that all Canadians are joining in with Art’s History today and celebrating this special province and her wonderful people. Happy anniversary Newfoundland and Labrador!
