British Columbia’s 37th Premier, David Eby, celebrates his special day today. The NDPer turns 48. Eby succeeded John Horgan in 2022. Before taking over BC’s top political job, Eby had served as Attorney General and Minister of Housing. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Premier Eby is a lawyer by trade. First elected to the British Columbia Legislature in 2013, he gained his seat by defeating sitting Premier Christy Clark.

Arthur Milnes is an accomplished public historian and award-winning journalist. He was research assistant on The Rt. Hon. Brian Mulroney’s best-selling Memoirs and also served as a speechwriter to then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper and as a Fellow of the Queen’s Centre for the Study of Democracy under the leadership of Tom Axworthy. A resident of Kingston, Ontario, Milnes serves as the in-house historian at the 175 year-old Frontenac Club Hotel.
