Former premier Dalton McGuinty to lead Kingston political history walking tour with National Newswatch’s Arthur Milnes!

  • National Newswatch

Dalton McGuinty, who led Ontario for a decade as the province’s 24th premier, will be the guest of honour on August 13 in Kingston when he participates in a special walking tour of that city’s downtown with Arthur Milnes of National Newswatch’s daily feature, Art’s History.

The McGuinty walking tour, which starts at 7 pm outside Kingston City Hall, will last more than one hour and highlight political stories from the past and present at this unique event.

In agreeing to participate, McGuinty will become the fourth Ontario premier to join Milnes on his now famous political history walks. In previous years Bob Rae, Kathleen Wynne and David Peterson have also traveled to Kingston at the invitation of our Art’s History columnist.

Past prime ministers Paul Martin and John Turner, Canada’s first astronaut Marc Garneau, then Minister of Finance Jim Flaherty, then Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin, and other distinguished Canadians have also taken part.
