ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- In a story published Aug. 29, 2024, about Maryland Gov. Wes Moore saying he made "an honest mistake" in failing to correct a White House fellowship application 18 years ago when he wrote he received a Bronze Star for military service in Afghanistan that he didn't ultimately receive, The Associated Press should have made clear that television interviews in which he was introduced by hosts as a Bronze Star recipient took place in 2008 and 2010. The story should also have included that Moore pushed back during his 2022 gubernatorial run on criticism that he had not corrected the impression given in the television interviews.
