Today of course is the birthday of Louis St.-Laurent, our 12th Prime Minister. He led our nation through the 1950s and made it look easy as Canada continued to punch above our national weight on the world stage. But it was far from easy to do so and St.-Laurent is indeed one of our greatest 20th century Prime Ministers. Canadians are right to continue to honour him today. Happy birthday Mr. St.-Laurent.
