Nova Scotia’s Progressive Conservative Premier, Tim Houston, is celebrating his 55th birthday today. An accomplished Chartered Accountant, he was first elected to the Nova Scotia Legislature in 2013. He became leader of his party in 2018 and earned a majority mandate to become Premier in 2021. Premier Houston’s leadership of Nova Scotia was confirmed last year when he and his team were easily re-elected. Happy birthday Premier Houston.




Arthur Milnes is an accomplished public historian and award-winning journalist. He was research assistant on The Rt. Hon. Brian Mulroney’s best-selling Memoirs and also served as a speechwriter to then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper and as a Fellow of the Queen’s Centre for the Study of Democracy under the leadership of Tom Axworthy. A resident of Kingston, Ontario, Milnes serves as the in-house historian at the 175 year-old Frontenac Club Hotel.
