Today in Canada's Political History - August 28, 1938, Happy birthday Paul Martin!

  • National Newswatch

It is a great personal and professional pleasure to send out birthday greetings to our 21st Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Paul Martin, on his special day. He is turning 87. For me, he has been a remarkable friend and supporter and helped me over many years in my studies and writings in the area of political history. And, in 2010, he became my second tree planter and his Ginko remains tall and proud these 15 years-later. More importantly, when I was facing mental health challenges with depression in 2017-2018, he came my Kingston home for an hour to boost my spirits. I will never forget his support of me during a tough period in my life. Happy birthday – and thank you – Mr. Martin.
