Rookie American President Bill Clinton made history on this date in 1993 when he affixed his signature to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) at a special ceremony in Washington. It marked a milestone moment in Canada-US relations, one that seems so far away now as Donald Trump levies punishing tariffs on Canada and other nations.
