OTTAWA -- The Canadian Press projects Liberal candidates Doly Begum and Danielle Martin have both won byelections in the Toronto ridings of Scarborough Southwest and University -- Rosedale, securing a narrow majority government for Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Results are still being counted in the Quebec riding of Terrebonne, a traditional Bloc Quebecois stronghold.
