Canada’s new King and Head of the Commonwealth, Charles III, was celebrated at his Coronation ceremony in London on this date in 2023. Then Prime Minister Justin Trudeau led Canada’s delegation and he was joined by four of his predecessors, with Kim Campbell, Jean Chrétien, Stephen Harper and Paul Martin, also making the trip across the pond. The non-partisan nature of the gathering of Prime Ministers was further cemented when Mr. Harper officially received his Order of Canada with his colleague Prime Ministers attending his investiture ceremony while in London.
