Today in Canada's Political History: May 11, 2016, Paul Martin’s official Hill portrait unveiled

  • National Newswatch

The 21st Prime Minister’s life of public service (and that of his wonderful wife, Sheila, and the couple’s children) was celebrated on Parliament Hill eight years-ago today. The occasion was the unveiling of the Rt. Hon. Paul Martin’s official portrait on Parliament Hill.

Today’s anniversary is important to me, both professionally and personally, as Mr. Martin has long supported my work in the field of political history. As I have noted on Art’s History before, I will always be in debt to the past PM for his friendship and encouragement over so many years.
