Our nation’s 16th Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Joe Clark is celebrating his birthday today. The Man from High River (Alberta) is turning 87. He and his wife Maureen McTeer have devoted their adult lives to public service. And on a personal note, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Mr. Clark and Ms. McTeer have encouraged my interests in political history dating back to my high school years in Scarborough. It is therefore a great personal and professional pleasure to send out birthday greetings to the 16th Prime Minister today.
