Today in Canada's Political History: June 23, Happy birthday Laureen Harper!

  • National Newswatch

It is a great personal and professional pleasure to send out birthday greetings to Laureen Harper, spouse of our nation’s 22nd Prime Minister, Stephen J. Harper. She (and the entire Harper family) has been a great supporter of my work in the field of political history for many years. Mrs. Harper was her husband’s “secret” campaign weapon and also represented our nation abroad with grace and class. She is remarkable lady I feel very privileged to know. And, it is also the birthday of another dear friend, MP Kelly McCauley. Happy birthday from Kingston Mrs. Harper and Kelly!
