OTTAWA -- Canada is joining European peers in pledging to ban imports of goods produced in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Canada is joining the United Kingdom, France and others in condemning Israel for enabling settler violence and working to expand settlements that are widely understood as illegal under international law.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog says this amounts to interference in his country's ongoing national election.
